Pardoned twice: a convicted fraudster gets Trump's clemency in both terms
Adriana Camberos had her sentence commuted in 2021, was convicted again in 2024, and was pardoned in January 2026 along with her brother.
In the last days of his first term, Trump commuted Adriana Camberos's sentence in a case involving counterfeit 5-Hour Energy drinks. In 2024 a jury convicted her again, with her brother Andres, in a separate multimillion-dollar scheme involving the deceptive resale of wholesale groceries and other goods. She reported to federal custody in August 2025.
In January 2026 Trump pardoned both siblings. According to House Judiciary Committee Democrats, the pardons relieved them of nearly $50 million in restitution to victims and about $30 million in forfeiture. The same batch of clemency included former Puerto Rico Gov. Wanda Vázquez, whose co-defendant's daughter had given large sums to a pro-Trump super PAC.
